Meet the Dental Hygienist

Nanaimo Hygiene is a fully mobile dental hygiene service that provides stress free care. I work and operate out of a concerted Mobile Van! 

My name is Meghan Mitchell and I am a dental hygiene practitioner that strives to provide preventative, pain free, and gentle care.

I received my diploma in dental hygiene in Ottawa, Ontario at the Canadian National Institute of Health in 2009.  I also recieved my Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in International Economics and Development at the University of Ottawa.  I have practiced dental hygiene for 15 years in various cities in  Canada, abroad, and as a volunteer at a dental clinic in Peru!

I currently work part time at Vancouver Island University as an instructor in the dental hygiene clinic and I am taking my Masters in Public Health at the University of Athabasca. 

Dental hygiene and healthy smiles is my passion, and I am fortunate to work in such an evolving profession.

In my spare time I really enjoy exploring outside, running, reading and spending time with my friends and family. Most weekends you will find me hiking and enjoying Vancouver Island.
